Film tour laps, from the centre of the car
An in-car mount for G8X cars that still have an armrest, without a bar across the cabin or a suction cup on the screen. Open the armrest, clamp the mount between the hook on the lid and the platform below. The lid stays open. The camera sits low and central and films forward through the windscreen with the wheel and the driver's hands in frame.
- Clamps between hook and platform – one clip, done.
- Central, low angle – road, wheel and hands.
- TPU padding on the surfaces that touch the armrest, so nothing gets marked.
The problem: G8X cabins have nowhere good for a camera
Suction cups fail under braking and block the screen. The G8X seats don't take a headrest mount. The armrest hook is the one solid, central anchor point in the cabin that is out of the driver's way.

FAQ
Does it fit G80 M3? Yes. G80/G81 is M3, G82/G83 is M4, G87 is M2.
Other G-series cars? If your armrest has the same hook under the lid, yes. Confirmed on the i4 (G26). No hook, no mount.
Can I close the armrest with the mount fitted? No. The lid stays open while filming. Unclip the mount and the lid closes as normal.
